The Now Factory wins Red Herring Award

Dublin, January 11th, 2012 - The Now Factory (www.thenowfactory.com) announced today that it has been named in the Red Herring Global Top 100, an internationally recognisedmark of distinction for identifying promising technology companies and entrepreneurs. The list is compiled by editors at Red Herring, the US global media company that was among the first to recognise Google, Salesforce.com, YouTube and eBay.

"Choosing the best out of the previous two years was by no means a small feat," said Alex Vieux, Chairman of Red Herring. "After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed down our list from 1,100 potential companies to 100 winners. It was an extremely difficult process. The Now Factory should be extremely proud of its achievement; the competition for the Top 100 was fierce. The Top 100 Global are truly the best of the best."

The award follows hot on the heels of The Now Factory winning Company of The Year from The Irish Software Association and CEO Tom Morrisroe being shortlisted for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year finals.

"Recognition from Red Herring tops off an extraordinary year for The Now Factory," said Tom Morrisroe."We have always believed our customer-centric approach to running data networks is truly innovative and we are delighted to see it recognised by the wider industry."

They are chosen by quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration. This assessment is complemented by a review of the track record and the standing of the start-up relative to its sector peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the "buzz" and make the list an invaluable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the greatest business opportunities from around the world.
