Ex-Norkom Executive joins The Now Factory to build on overseas success
Dublin, November 3rd, 2011 – The Now Factory (www.thenowfactory.com) announced today that it has appointed Liam Griffin as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to develop and drive the company’s sales and business development strategies as the company looks to expand its global footprint. Griffin was previously at Norkom Technologies where he was instrumental in building the company’s business abroad.
Liam Griffin said, “I am delighted to be joining The Now Factory team and look forward to building on the phenomenal success that the company has achieved in such a short period of time. The goal is to grow our prestigious client base and expand our current market reach into new regions.”
Having helped establish Norkom in 1998, Griffin became CCO and played a key role in executing its international expansion. When BAE Systems acquired the Company in March this year, it had over 400 employees and 130 global clients. Prior to Norkom, Griffin was Sales Director for Cap Gemini’s business operations in Ireland.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Morrisroe, CEO of The Now Factory said, “Liam has a proven track record in designing go-to-market strategies, building and operating sales and business development teams in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. His experience will be a major asset to our business as we target new opportunities.”
Rapid growth has seen The Now Factory’s revenues grow by 70 per cent year-on-year and the number of employees rise from five to one hundred and thirty in just four years. The Dublin-based firm opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore last December and recently announced its new North American headquarters in Mountain View, California.
With the growth of mobile data and the constraints of bandwidth, service providers are striving to understand how their customers use services, identify key trends that can optimise the customer experience and maximize profitability. The Now Factory delivers a range of products that address these challenges head on, helping service providers collect and analyze detailed information about subscriber traffic in real time, improve quality of experience, build customer loyalty and turn actual subscriber usage information into new profitable revenue streams.
